Bad Bunny has recently recounted his genuine response upon encountering Adam Sandler for the very first time, ahead of their collaboration in the upcoming film, "Happy Gilmore 2." The Puerto Rican hip-hop sensation made a joint appearance with his co-star Adam on the July 22nd episode of "Late Night With Seth Meyers."
During their shared spotlight, Bad Bunny unveiled the sentiment behind meeting the iconic "Blended" actor face-to-face for the first time in his life. "I suppose you could say we met through text messages first," remarked the 31-year-old rapper. While their interactions had primarily been confined to digital exchanges, Bad Bunny confessed to eagerly scanning the crowds at basketball games in hopes of catching a glimpse of the "50 First Dates" star.
"The very first time I laid eyes on him was at a Lakers game," recounted the musician, with Adam nodding in agreement. However, it was the "Murder Mystery" actor's daughter who recognized the rapper and excitedly pointed him out to Adam from across the court. "And then, our gazes met, and I sent you a little wave of affection from my side of the court," Adam joked.
Bad Bunny admitted to having "shed a few tears" upon making that heartfelt eye contact with the "Click" actor. Amusingly, he noted that he had attempted to stifle his emotions but couldn't help but get overcome with sentimentality, particularly because Adam had recognized him. The rapper further shared that he was "tipsy," which might have contributed to his emotional breakdown.
Meanwhile, fans eagerly await the premiere of "Happy Gilmore 2" on Netflix on July 25th.
