On a vibrant Monday, the vice president and potential Democratic contender for the 2024 presidential election gracefully wove an empowering tune into her speech. According to reports, Beyoncé, the queen of music, has granted Vice President Kamala Harris, currently a frontrunner in the Democratic race to succeed her party's nominee in 2024, permission to incorporate one of her powerful "Lemonade" tracks, "Freedom," into her campaign.

As CNN revealed, a source close to Harris divulged that her team had received an eleventh-hour approval from representatives of the 32-time Grammy Award winner to utilize the song. This came during Harris's Monday appearance at the Delaware campaign headquarters, once the hub of Biden's reelection efforts.

"Freedom," a collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, is a song that serves as a rallying cry for the empowerment of Black women. Beyoncé's powerful chorus echoes, "Freedom! Freedom!/ Where are you?/’Cause I need freedom, too!/I break chains all by myself/Won’t let my freedom rot in hell/Hey! I’ma keep running/’Cause a winner don’t quit on themselves."

In the official music video, Beyoncé and Lamar stand alongside mothers of Black men unjustly slain by police, including Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Eric Garner, lending their voices to a profound message.

Beyoncé appears to be as enamored with Vice President Harris as Harris is with her. She even gifted Harris tickets to her Renaissance World Tour concert in Landover, Maryland. Harris expressed her gratitude on social media, sharing a picture of herself enjoying a "fun date night" with her husband, Doug Emhoff. However, Beyoncé has yet to officially endorse Harris's candidacy.

Yet, her mother, Tina Knowles, is a staunch supporter of Harris. On Monday, she posted a picture of herself with the potential Democratic nominee, captioning it, "New, Youthful, Sharp energy !!!! You asked for it and our President Biden did what was best for the country! Putting personal Ego, power, and fame aside. That is the definition of a great leader. Thank you, President Biden for your service and leadership. Let's support Vice President Kamala Harris for President. Let's Go."

In 2020, Beyoncé seemingly endorsed the Biden-Harris campaign on Instagram, and in 2016, she lent her support to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. The power couple is also close friends with the Obamas, with Beyoncé performing at both of former President Barack Obama's inaugurations, embodying a powerful symbiosis of art, politics, and activism.
