Big Sean Slams Speculation He Has New Girlfriend Amid Jhené Aiko Breakup Rumors

Published: Nov 10 2025

Big Sean is setting the record straight with a decisive tone. The artist, whose real name is Sean Michael Leonard Anderson, has responded to rumors that he was spotted with a new girlfriend amid speculations that he and his partner of over a decade, Jhené Aiko, had parted ways.

The rapper took to the comment section of a recent Instagram post, which included the headline, "Big Sean spotted with alleged new girlfriend after wasting Jhené Aiko's time for 10 years," over a snippet of a livestream hosted by 21-year-old YouTuber N3on. In the clip, Big Sean walks into the room and passes by an unidentified woman. The 37-year-old was quick to respond to the November 6 post, writing, "Yeah, unfortunately I've never met this person in my life."

In a second comment, as reported by People, Big Sean shared more insight into the moment. "This girl was standing next to @hitboy, who is cut out of the video," he added. "I don't know why the f---k she was so close to me though. I didn't see it at all until I saw this video and can understand the frustrations. Smh. But I don't even know this person at all."

Big Sean's comments come after rumors circulated earlier this month that he and Jhené had broken up after more than a decade together. Before Big Sean's clarification, however, neither he nor Jhené had publicly addressed the rumors.

Jhené and Big Sean, who share a 2-year-old son named Noah Hasani, first met in 2012 and struck up a friendship before making their relationship publicly official in 2016. Over the years, Jhené—who is also mom to Namiko, 16, with O’Ryan—has been candid about how their road to romance was the perfect fit. "We were forced to really, really get to know each other on a friendship level," Jhené told Billboard in 2017. "It just came to a point where it was like, 'I'm single, you're single, we love each other.' We actually already loved each other as people and then it was like, 'Okay, let's just be together.'"

While they temporarily parted ways in 2019 and rekindled their romance a year later, Big Sean has been candid about how their highs and lows as a couple haven't stopped him from thinking about that next step: marriage. "We've had our ups and downs," Sean explained on the Out of Context podcast in August 2024. "To me, marriage symbolizes the best relationship." He added, "I would like to [get married], but there's a lot of work that needs to be done."
