Reportedly, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are facing a claim that they owe approximately $2.1 million to contractors who worked on their sprawling estate in New York. The couple purchased multiple adjacent properties in Lewisboro, New York, in 2018, with the total land area amounting to around 110 acres. In 2022, Lively took the initial step towards building an "incredibly sustainable" family home on the property, expressing their eagerness to move in with their four children. The planned residence was expected to feature amenities such as a pool, gym, and pool house. Construction was given the green light, although the design was later scaled down in size.

However, reports now indicate that construction has halted. Multiple contractors and subcontractors have allegedly filed liens, claiming they have not been paid for completed work. One of the largest claims is said to be over $1.35 million from a construction firm that worked on major systems including plumbing, framing, and waterproofing. Other reported claims include drainage, structural work, and installation services.
Representatives for the couple have yet to publicly respond to these allegations. This report comes shortly after Lively settled a separate legal dispute related to her film "It Ends With Us" and co-star Justin Baldoni. The case involved claims of defamation and workplace misconduct, which Baldoni has denied.
Earlier reports also suggested that the couple had considered relocating outside the United States amidst recent legal and public scrutiny.
