Bobby Berk Seemingly Weighs in on Karamo Brown, Queer Eye Cast Drama

Bobby Berk may have mastered the art of flipping houses, but he's just as skilled in the subtler art of throwing shade. After Queer Eye star Karamo Brown raised eyebrows by abruptly declining to join his costars Tan France, Jonathan van Ness, Jeremiah Brent, and Antoni Porowski on their season 10 press tour, the former Fab Five member made a subtle reference to the ongoing cast drama.

"How's everyone's week going?!" Bobby captioned a Jan. 21 TikTok post featuring a snap of him hanging out on a wooden fence. "Have you seen my new show Junk or Jackpot? on @HGTV, @HBO Max, and @Discovery+?" As for the song paired with the post? The interior designer cheekily opted for Chappell Roan's "My Kink is Karma," a pop tune about getting satisfaction from watching an ex's life fall apart.

The post comes after Karamo pulled out of a CBS Mornings interview that he was meant to attend alongside his castmates just an hour before the broadcast, instead sending over a statement for Gayle King to share with viewers. "'I hope everyone remembers the main theme I have tried to teach them over the past decade,'" the journalist read before starting the interview. "'Which is to focus on and to protect their mental health/peace from people or a world who seek to destroy it; which is why I can't be there today.'"

She added that, according to Karamo's assistant, who relayed the message for her to share, "he's worried about being bullied." Later that morning, Karamo bowed out of another live interview, this time with Today With Jenna & Sheinelle, with Sheinelle Jones noting that Karamo's personal assistant said the TV host had been "advised by his therapist to protect himself and his peace by not attending."

His fellow Fab Five members admitted that they were surprised by his absence but ultimately voiced support for their castmate. "We're sorry that he's not here," Antoni, the show's food and wine expert, explained on the Jan. 20 episode. "We fully support—I think as a collective unit—him taking care of himself."

Indeed, this is not the first time the Fab Five have run into some not-so-fabulous situations. In 2024, fans noticed that Bobby had unfollowed Tan on Instagram after announcing his departure from the show, sparking rumors of a falling out. Bobby made it clear that although the pair "had a moment," their quarrel had nothing to do with his exit from the show. (Jeremiah ultimately stepped in as the design expert for the final two seasons.)

"There was a situation, and that's between Tan and I," Bobby told Vanity Fair in a 2024 interview. "And it has nothing to do with the show. It was something personal that had been brewing—and nothing romantic, just to clarify that."
