During a recent episode of the podcast Las Culturistas, hosted by Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, the pair recounted a memorable experience presenting at the Emmys alongside Seth Meyers and Maya Rudolph. As Yang recounted, "One thing I'll never forget is that one year we had four different versions of the presenter script because we weren't sure if Maya would be able to make it due to her illness, and Seth might not be able to perform."
This was a challenging and demanding situation, as they had to constantly rewrite their lines based on who was available to present. "It was us, you, Seth, and Maya walking up to present a bit about [show creator Lorne Michaels] winning too many Emmys," Yang recalled.

The two were so focused on their task that they inadvertently ignored Matt Bomer, who was sitting in the corner wanting to say hello. "Kristen and I were in the dressing room with our pencils, while Matt Bomer was sitting in the other corner, wanting to say hi to us," Yang admitted. "We were like, 'We're in the middle of something.'"
Wiig noted that they did eventually say hello to the White Collar star. Yang agreed, saying, "We said hello. We weren't rude. But you and I were locked in."
Bowen Yang recently left Saturday Night Live after seven seasons as a cast member (2019-2025).
