This fantastical comedy, promising that your childhood imaginary friends are indeed real, narrowly missed the box office projections, amassing $35 million. Prior to the weekend's kickoff, "IF" was anticipated to rake in at least $40 million during its inaugural release weekend. Based on Friday's attendance, it seemed that "IF" might open to around $30 million, but projections were upwardly revised following Saturday's robust turnout.
