The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Bradley Cooper is in active negotiations to star opposite Margot Robbie in Warner Bros.' highly anticipated *Ocean's Eleven* prequel. Helming the project is acclaimed director Lee Isaac Chung, known for his work on *Twisters* and *Minari*, with production spearheaded by Robbie's own LuckyChap Entertainment.

While details surrounding Carrie Solomon’s script remain tightly guarded, initial announcements in 2022 revealed the film as an original tale set against the backdrop of 1960s Europe, breathing fresh life into the beloved heist franchise. (At one stage, Ryan Gosling—Robbie’s co-star in Warner Bros.’ blockbuster *Barbie*—was also in talks to join the cast.)

The *Ocean’s* series stands as one of Warner Bros.’ most lucrative franchises, amassing over $1.4 billion globally. The latest installment featuring George Clooney and Brad Pitt, *Ocean’s Thirteen*, hit theaters in 2007, with the trio of films collectively grossing over $420 million domestically. Meanwhile, the female-led *Ocean’s 8* (2018) captivated audiences worldwide, raking in nearly $300 million at the global box office.

Looking ahead, the *Ocean’s* universe continues to expand: Clooney and Pitt are set to reunite for *Ocean’s 14*, directed by *Fall Guy*’s David Leitch. As for Cooper, the multi-talented star (represented by Range Media) will next grace the screen in Searchlight’s *Is This Thing On?*, a project he also directed, showcasing his versatility both in front of and behind the camera.
