Earlier on Wednesday, Clarkson announced her decision to postpone further performances of her Las Vegas residency due to a pressing family matter. Sharing an Instagram post, the "Since U Been Gone" chanteuse captioned, "Regrettably, I must reschedule the remaining August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas. While I usually maintain a private life, my children's father, my ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, has been ailing, and now, it is imperative for me to be fully present for them." She concluded, "I offer my sincerest apologies to all ticket holders and deeply appreciate your understanding, generosity, and kindness."

Last month, Clarkson had postponed the debut of her residency mere hours before it was set to commence. Announced in February, "Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions - The Las Vegas Residency" was originally slated to kickstart at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on July 4th, with 18 performances scheduled through November 15th.

In March, the "Because of You" songbird marked a significant milestone with the 1,000th episode of "The Kelly Clarkson Show." During the same month, Clarkson was absent for nearly two weeks, with various celebrities stepping in as guest hosts. She returned on March 18th, only to be replaced by another guest host the following day, rejoining for the March 20th episode.

Clarkson's 1,000th episode came after she had weathered a tumultuous period, including her very public divorce from Blackstock, which was finalized in 2022, granting her primary custody of their two children, River and Remington. The couple had tied the knot in 2013 but had known each other prior, as Blackstock's father, Narvel Blackstock, owned the music management company that represented Clarkson since 2007. Blackstock served as Clarkson's manager from 2017 until their separation in 2020.
