Britney Spears has left her family "terrified for her future" amid her latest "episode." In recent years, the 43-year-old Grammy Award-winning singer has accustomed her fans to witnessing erratic behavior on her Instagram, characterized by "raw" videos and perilous dance routines. However, it appears her unpredictable conduct has recently taken a disturbing turn for the worse.
An insider disclosed that Britney is "currently going through an episode." Although she appeared to be tidying up in a rare singing video clip, the source claimed her mental state is severely impacting her home life. "Her house is in disarray," they remarked. "She doesn't clean up after her dogs, she doesn't have daily housekeeping, and she simply isn't functioning as an adult should."
Speaking to the Daily Mail, the source revealed that her family is "deeply worried" and "closely monitoring" her behavior. Nevertheless, despite the growing concern, there are currently no plans for intervention. "Those close to her have witnessed this cycle repeatedly," they explained. "We are going to watch her navigate through it, just as she has for years."
The insider also emphasized that "there's really nothing anyone can do." In November 2021, a judge terminated Britney's 13-year conservatorship, restoring her full control over her life and finances. "So, it's currently a lose-lose situation with her," they added.
According to another source, Britney doesn't perceive any wrongdoing in her behavior and considers it "normal." Since she doesn't recognize a problem, she is reportedly unreceptive to concerns raised by others. "Those close to her don't want to overstep or say anything that might alienate her," the insider noted.
"Everyone observes the same thing, from fans to friends," the source concluded. "But there's nothing that can be done to progress, and it just ends up being an endless cycle."
Britney has been in the public eye for most of her life, making her on-screen debut at the tender age of 11 on The Mickey Mouse Club. Her mental health did not raise significant alarm until 2007 when she was hospitalized multiple times following public outbursts, including attacking a paparazzi's car and shaving her head.
The following year, the Los Angeles Superior Court placed her father, Jamie Spears, in charge of her conservatorship. In 2021, Britney told a judge she believed the legal arrangement was causing "far more harm than good."
