Britney Spears' eldest son, Sean Preston, has made a noticeable change to his Instagram handle - he's added her last name while leaving off his father's. Sean now goes by "Sean P Spears" on Instagram, whereas his old handle was simply "Sean Preston," as reported by TMZ.
The name change comes after Sean, whose dad is Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline, reunited with his mother on a yacht getaway over the weekend. Sean, now 20, posed for photos with both his mom and younger brother, 19-year-old Jayden James, which Spears posted on her Instagram. While Jayden has been photographed with Spears on numerous occasions, Sean's reunion with the pop star was more rare.
Page Six confirmed that Spears tried to convince Sean to spend the holidays with her and Jayden in California last December, but he declined. Sean "chose not to" because he "wasn't ready to meet her halfway," which left Spears feeling "really hurt," as reported by Us Weekly. Sean instead spent the holidays in Louisiana with grandma Lynne Spears, aunt Jamie Lynn Spears, and more loved ones.
However, Britney and her eldest son appear to be on good terms as he put his arm around her in the photos from their recent family getaway. Sean is supporting his mother after she was arrested on March 4. Spears was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI in Ventura, California, and released the following morning, per arrest records from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
Following her arrest, a source close to the singer told Page Six that both Jayden and Sean were offering their support. "Her sons are with her right now. They love her and want to support her and just want her to feel better," the insider shared.
Spears, 44, returned to Instagram for the first time since her DUI arrest last Friday, posting videos with Jayden. "Thank you guys for all your support... spending time with family and friends is such a blessing!" wrote the "Toxic" singer.
