In the resurfaced clip, filmed on a red carpet, the reporter initiates her interview with Cameron by inquiring, "How terrifying is Nicki Minaj in real life?" Cameron swiftly replies, "Oh my god, not at all! She's the sweetest. She arrived on our set, fully prepared and bursting with energy. Her performance was instantaneous, and we were all like, 'Right on!'" She continues, "And she was incredibly humble. She flew in from an awards show the night before, went straight to set, got ready, and got to work—she was all about the business."

Undeterred by Cameron's overwhelmingly positive response, the journalist presses on, ignoring Cameron's previous statements, and asks, "What's her bum like in real life?" Cameron exclaims, "I'm not sure I need to comment on that! She's a stunningly beautiful woman, absolutely gorgeous." She then smiles politely and exits the interview.

Although the interview is several years old, it was recently posted on TikTok, garnering over half a million views, numerous likes, and hundreds of comments. Many viewers took the time to commend Cameron for her handling of the inappropriate question.

One top comment, with over 11,000 likes, simply reads, "What kind of questions are those?!!" Others deemed the questions "racially charged." One user wrote, "This is what they call microaggression!" Another echoed, "That question was racially charged, and Cameron handled it perfectly." Another added, "These questions are so distasteful. Love Cameron!"

"Why would she be terrifying?" another inquired. While another said, "They really tried to set my girl up." Another comment read, "Cameron Diaz answering toxic questions with kindness and politeness while still setting boundaries. Amazing." Another echoed, "Cameron is a girls' girl and classy too. Love that."

"Cameron cleared that messy reporter," another user added, while somebody else wrote, "The way Cameron cut the interview off after that second question is so classy." Another simply concluded, "Cameron really handled that well."

Kate Upton and Leslie Mann also starred in "The Other Woman." In a 2014 promotional video for the film, filmed with Yahoo Celeb UK, Kate acknowledged that Nicki was "overwhelmed" on set. When asked about working with the musician, Leslie couldn't contain her laughter as she said, "Nicki Minaj never remembered my name; she just referred to me as 'lady.' She'd say, 'Uhm, that lady,' and I'd respond, 'Yes!'" Kate then pointed out, "You know why she probably didn't remember your name? It's because she was really overwhelmed."

Nicki only worked on one other live-action film after "The Other Woman," the 2016 comedy "Barbershop: The Next Cut," for which she was nominated for a Teen Choice Award for acting. She also voiced Pinky in "The Angry Birds Movie 2" in 2019 and, prior to "The Other Woman," voiced Steffie in the 2012 film "Ice Age: Continental Drift."
