Cardi B is about to welcome another little bundle of joy into the world! The "I Like It" rapper, aged 32, unveiled her exciting news during an interview on CBS Mornings that aired on Wednesday, September 17th. She revealed that she's expecting her fourth child, with the baby due before her tour kicks off in February. "I'm having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs," Cardi B told anchor Gayle King in a pre-taped interview.

Responding to King's warm congratulations, Cardi, born Belcalis Almánzar, expressed her heartfelt gratitude and shared her excitement. "I'm thrilled," she exclaimed. "I'm over the moon! I feel like I'm in a really good place. I feel incredibly strong and empowered, knowing that I'm accomplishing so much while also nurturing a new life."

She went on to open up about her relationship. "My man and I, we're each other's biggest supporters. We're both at similar stages in our careers," she explained. "I truly believe we're among the best at what we do. And we share the same mindset: 'Yeah, you're amazing, but what's next? We have to keep pushing, keep striving for more.' We're never content with just staying put; we're always moving forward, and that's just who we are."

Diggs, a 31-year-old NFL wide receiver for the New England Patriots, makes Cardi feel "secure," she told King, both emotionally and physically. "Just look at how big he is," she joked playfully. "He makes me feel safe, confident, and incredibly strong," Cardi continued. "Two weeks ago, I had a full-blown panic attack. I was sobbing uncontrollably because I was getting really anxious about the whole album rollout. People were being really harsh; you know, sometimes you're loved, sometimes you're hated. And people were saying some really mean things about me."

The rapper elaborated, "I was like, 'See, this is why I hesitate to release music?' This is my art, something I pour my heart and soul into. And when people just tear it apart, it really hurts. It crushes you. But he was there, saying, 'Girl, you better pull yourself together.' Feeling safe and confident gives you the courage to take on the world."

Cardi B and Diggs have been romantically linked since October 2024. In May 2025, the couple made their first public appearance together at a Boston Celtics vs. New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden, after months of attending the same events but arriving separately. Until that moment, Cardi had skillfully dodged relationship rumors. She also avoided similar speculation about her pregnancy, something she explained to King on CBS Mornings was a deliberate choice.

"I just thought, 'Can I just announce it on my own terms?' Like, I'm not hiding," Cardi said. "I wanted to do it on my own time, in my own way. Let me close some deals first, you know what I mean? Let me get a few things squared away. And honestly, you don't really want to announce your pregnancy right away. It's like, 'Let me see a few more sonograms. Let me make sure my baby is healthy.'"

In fact, Cardi admitted to King that, as of the interview's taping, she hadn't yet told her parents, though she planned to before it aired. "They just keep looking at me," she said, noting her reluctance to tell them because she's scared of them. "I'm terrified of my parents!"

That fear had nothing to do with their feelings towards Diggs. "They like him, they really do," she said.

"By the way, now that I've talked about it, you'd better buy my album," she said, addressing the audience. "You wanted to know, right? Now you know. So go support my album because I'm a mother of four now! I need to buy Pampers, diapers, and all that stuff."

Diggs is already a doting dad to an 8-year-old daughter named Nova, who was born in October 2016. As for Cardi B, the Love & Hip Hop: New York alum shares three children with her estranged husband, rapper Offset. The former couple are parents to daughter Kulture Kiari, 7, son Wave Set, 4, and daughter Blossom Belle, whom they welcomed in September 2024. Offset is also a father to sons Jordan, 15, and Kody, 10, and daughter Kalea Marie, 10, from previous relationships.

Speaking on CBS Mornings, Cardi confirmed that she and Diggs had been considering having a child together. "Everyone was telling me, 'You should just have fun.' And we had a little too much fun, and now here I am! We had way too much fun!" she joked. "But we're overjoyed. We're really happy."

Cardi has always been candid about parenting. The "Bodak Yellow" rapper posted a heartfelt message on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, January 29th, revealing the one thing she hopes all her children will possess. "My biggest fear is my kids not having that DRIVE... I don't care what you want to do! MAKE A BILLION DOLLARS OUT OF IT!" she wrote.

In August 2024, Cardi announced that she was expecting her third baby just one day after filing for divorce from Offset for the second time. She shared the news by posting photos of herself in a red dress that proudly displayed her baby bump on Instagram. "With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you; you've brought me more love, more life, and most of all, renewed my power! You've reminded me that I can have it all!" she wrote in her caption. "You've reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can't wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do!"

She added, "It's so much easier to just lie down and accept life's twists, turns, and tests, but you, your brother, and your sister have shown me why it's worth it to keep pushing through!"
