Cardi B isn't one to shy away from body modifications, and her latest addition to her extensive collection of piercings proves it. In an Instagram video shared on December 4th, the Grammy-winning rapper underwent a fresh round of dermal piercings courtesy of New York-based piercer Robbie of NYC Piercing.
In the behind-the-scenes clip, Cardi can be seen leaning over the chair with her neck exposed, ready for the first set of piercings. As Robbie prepares to insert the needles, Cardi asks, "This one ain't as bad as the back is it?" As the piercing begins, Cardi lets out a brief yelp, and the video cuts to Robbie inserting the needle for the lower back for the next set of dermal piercings while Cardi says, "Ow."
Alongside the video, Robbie, who has pierced celebrities like Travis Barker, wrote, "Fresh back dermal implants, and surface neck, nape piercing for @iamcardib, loving the vibe!"
Cardi added the new jewels almost a month after welcoming her fourth baby, her first with boyfriend Stefon Diggs. And while she's no stranger to the needle, as she revealed earlier this year that she had her butt crack pierced, her latest addition was a bit more high-maintenance.
In response to skeptical users, Cardi followed up with a close-up picture of the Valley Piercing to social media, adding, "Do I lie?" Unfortunately, Cardi's new addition was short-lived and cost a hefty amount. As she revealed nine months later, she lost the $13,000 piercing. "It cost me like $13,000 because it was real diamonds," Cardi told Alex Cooper on the September 24th episode of Call Her Daddy. "And guess what? It went down the toilet. It was like a month. It was like 'Hold on.'" She explained that her extensive plastic surgery on her butt had numbed the area ahead of the NSFW modification. "I have surgery on my butt," she said. "They already did a butt surgery to reduce my ass. You know like when people do a tummy tuck on your stomach? I practically did a tummy tuck on my ass." As a result, when she got it pierced, she didn't "feel s--t."
