Millie Bobby Brown, the enigmatic star of Enola Holmes, doesn't merely don the detective's hat on screen. Ahead of the highly anticipated fifth and final season of Stranger Things, she put her sleuthing skills to work, unveiling how she managed to scoop the series' grand finale before her fellow castmates. "I didn't know how I was going to react," she shared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, "but the night before the last table read, everyone was in the dark. Except me."

With a mischievous grin, the 21-year-old, who announced her adoption of a baby girl with husband Jake Bongiovi in August, joked about her propensity for "blackmailing the directors." She revealed her modus operandi for gleaning the highly classified intel: "I snuck into the writers' room and saw this massive whiteboard filled with all the endings. I thought, 'Wow, so much to process!'"
However, when it came time to review the script for the series finale, Brown admitted that the experience took an emotional toll. "We didn't sit at a table," she recalled. "We sat on couches, and we cried for almost two hours straight."
Indeed, having spent nearly a decade together on set, Brown and her costars—including Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, and Caleb McLaughlin—have grown significantly both onscreen and off. "I grew up on the show, I traveled the world with these guys," McLaughlin told E! News in May. "I'm truly humbled and grateful for this experience."
And at 24 years old, McLaughlin intends to carry the lessons he learned on set into his future career endeavors. "I've changed, I've grown, I've been molded, I've been influenced," he continued. "Stranger Things has set the bar high for me and my creative approach to many things."
