Chris Hemsworth believes that in the eyes of Oscar-winning singer Billie Eilish, he has transcended the mere status of a "routine industry colleague." During his guest spot on "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" on Wednesday, March 26th, the star of "Avengers" unveiled a selfie that he would forever regret taking. Reflecting on his encounter with the talented Eilish at the 2024 Academy Awards, the actor from "Furiosa" admitted that despite his initial reluctance, he couldn't resist the urge to snap a picture with the vocalist behind "The Greatest."
"I told myself, 'No, my kids are going to love this,'" Hemsworth recounted, describing how he justified his action. Swept away by his love for his children, he and his wife, Elsa Pataky, ended up capturing a moment with the 23-year-old Eilish. Since tying the knot in 2010, Pataky, 48, and Hemsworth, 41, have been blessed with three children: daughter India Rose Hemsworth and twin sons Sasha Hemsworth and Tristan Hemsworth.
"But the moment I took the picture, I realized, 'I've gone from being a work colleague to a mere fan now,'" continued the globally renowned Thor actor. "We'll never be friends, never even best friends."
Intriguingly, when Colbert inquired if Hemsworth had ever collaborated with Eilish on a project, the actor from "Extraction" replied that they hadn't, describing them instead as "colleagues in the same industry, brushing shoulders occasionally." The late-night host playfully agreed, adding a touch of sarcasm, stating that Anthony Hopkins and he were also industry colleagues.
