Christina Applegate spoke out for the first time since her recent hospitalization. "Thank you for the overflow of love and well wishes. Health issues are a constant companion for me, but I'm a resilient chick, and I'm getting stronger and better every day," the 54-year-old Married... with Children alum wrote in the caption for a photo she posted to Instagram on April 20. The picture was of a white coffee cup, adorned with kisses and the words "Kissy Kissy," sitting atop her memoir, You With the Sad Eyes.

The actress concluded her post by saying, "I'm taking a moment to focus on my health, but I'll be back with more to say soon enough." Applegate was reportedly hospitalized last week but has not provided further details. The Emmy Award-winning actress, who announced in 2021 that she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, had just released her memoir, You With the Sad Eyes.

Applegate revealed that she first began experiencing symptoms such as leg buckling and numbness up to seven years before her official MS diagnosis. In addition to her memoir, she also candidly discusses her symptoms on MeSsy, the podcast she hosts with her friend, Jamie-Lynn Sigler from The Sopranos, who shared that she had been diagnosed with MS in 2016.

In February, Applegate announced the launch of Next in MS, an online community for those impacted by MS to share their own experiences. In a Super Bowl ad for the new site, Applegate bluntly stated, "Zero stars. Would not recommend. It sucks! It suuuucks."
