Haylie Duff and her fiancé, Matt Rosenberg, have unfortunately decided to part ways. A representative for Duff has confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple, who had been together for over a year and a half, "ended their relationship around the beginning of the year." The representative further stated that Duff, now 41, is requesting privacy at this time "in protection of her young daughters."
The former couple got engaged on April Fools' Day in 2014, after they had been together for a year and a half. They are proud parents to two beautiful daughters, Ryan Ava Erhard, 10, and Lulu Gray, 7. Prior to Lulu's birth, Duff spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about their decision to put a hold on wedding planning as they eagerly awaited the arrival of their second child.

"We talk about it and think, 'Maybe now we're ready to do it,' and then life happens and toddler happens," Duff told PEOPLE in 2018. "We feel married already and it hasn't become something that both of us are gung-ho about." She added, "Maybe after the craziness of a new baby dies down, we'll be ready to talk about it again."
Haylie, who is the older sister of actress Hilary Duff, expressed her joy at having two daughters. "Truthfully, we really wanted another girl," she said in 2018. "Ryan could have that special bond of sisters."
She previously told PEOPLE that she and Rosenberg are "very different in a lot of ways." However, she also expressed her happiness when he became close with her family. "I saw how everyone was simpatico, and that's when I knew not only do I love him, but they love him too," she shared with PEOPLE two months after their engagement.
Despite their differences, the couple seemed to have a strong connection that was not only based on love but also on the appreciation of each other's families. However, their decision to part ways is a reminder that even the strongest relationships can face challenges and changes over time.
