Colin Jost cherishes his marital narrative and isn't just content with the "financial" benefits. The 43-year-old divulged what he adores most about being less celebrated than his wife, Scarlett Johansson. "Just low expectations," Colin told Carson Daly on the Today show on May 20th. "You know, like you can be like, 'Hey, what's up? I'm here too.'"

Indeed, the Avengers star—who shares 4-year-old Cosmo with Colin and has 11-year-old Rose from a previous relationship with Romain Dauriac—has been acting since childhood. As a result, the 41-year-old has been under the glare of the spotlight for much longer than the Saturday Night Live cast member. But Colin doesn't mind acting as a plus one to the Marriage Story actress. And fellow "plus one fraternity" member Travis Kelce, who is engaged to Taylor Swift, stands by his side.
In fact, as the NFL player quipped during Colin's May 13th appearance on his New Heights podcast, "How nice is it to be the less famous person in the relationship?" With a chuckle, Colin responded, "Huge relief. Really." Yet, despite being lesser-known, Colin said that he gets approached more often than his wife, attributing it to his long-standing role on the iconic sketch comedy show. "She's less approachable because I'm on TV, I'm in their living room, so they're just like, 'Hey, what's up man? How's it going?'"
Meanwhile, for Scarlett—whom he married in 2020—he sees her as "actually almost so famous that [people] don't believe it a lot of times." In fact, he said strangers often assume she's simply a ScarJo lookalike when they encounter her in real life. During one such encounter during their travels, Colin recalled, "The person's looking at her passport and he'll be like, 'Has anyone ever told you you look like Scarlett Johansson?' Like, genuinely asking and not realizing, even though he's looking at her. He's like, 'It would be weirder if it was her.'" These are the moments that the comedian finds hilarious, adding, "It's really kind of awesome."
