Colin Jost is opening up about his candid thoughts regarding the viral red carpet kisses exchanged between his wife, Scarlett Johansson, and her "Jurassic World Rebirth" co-star, Jonathan Bailey. In a recent conversation with Entertainment Tonight, the reporter delved into the media buzz surrounding the movie and touched upon matters that Jost admits he "never anticipated" would turn into a headline-grabbing saga—chief among them, the co-stars' overt displays of affection.

With a playful tone, the Saturday Night Live (SNL) veteran quipped, "If we're using 'Jurassic Park' lingo, the attack often stems from the raptor you least suspect. Among all the potential threats looming, Jonathan was the last one on my radar."

"People are really blowing this out of proportion," Jost continued. "A friendly peck on the cheek as a greeting? That's absolutely bananas. Besides, Jonathan is an openly gay man. It hardly seemed like a cause for concern. Jonathan and I even joked, 'I suppose we should kiss next? Is that the protocol?' Full circle, indeed!"

Johansson, renowned for her roles in films like "Black Widow," and Bailey, who will soon star in "Wicked," stole the spotlight when photographs of them locking lips emerged from the film's London and New York City premieres last month.

Post-premiere, Johansson visited the Today show, where she echoed co-anchor Craig Melvin's sentiment that their kisses were purely platonic and friendly. "He's such a loveable guy, what else can I say?" she remarked about Bailey. "We're just friendly folks, you know?"

When queried about the internet's reaction to the kisses, Johansson responded with a shrug, "Nothing shocks me anymore, really. These days, nothing phases me. But hey, I've got plenty of love to share—what can I say?"
