Kata Hay, a country music singer who gained notoriety as a contestant on "The Voice," has been apprehended in Tennessee and charged with vehicular homicide. The real-life singer, whose stage name is Kata Huddleston, was taken into custody after the Goodlettsville Police Department issued a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) alert earlier in the week.

The alert stated that the 38-year-old singer had "outstanding warrants for vehicular homicide in connection with a motor vehicle crash on Long Hollow Pike near I-65." The police had "reason to believe she may be enroute to Oklahoma, traveling with a white male, and quite possibly towing a large camper."
On December 17th, the Goodlettsville Police Department followed up with a post announcing that Huddleston had been arrested in Oklahoma and was being extradited back to Davidson County.
According to Whiskey Riff, this is just the latest in a string of troubling incidents for Huddleston. The outlet reports that she is currently facing charges for driving under the influence (DUI) and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in over $1,500 in damage with an open container. Additionally, Huddleston was on probation for a 2017 DUI in Nashville, per Whiskey Riff. Furthermore, according to WKRN, the singer was sentenced to six months in jail after pleading guilty to having sexual contact with a minor.
Huddleston made it onto "The Voice" for its 10th season, joining Team Christina Aguilera and making it into the top 20 before being eliminated in the first week of playoffs.
