On January 22nd, Dakota Johnson and Role Model, the two stars of "Materialists" and "Sally, When the Wine Runs Out" respectively (with Tucker Pillsbury as the latter's real name), made their budding romance a reality as they enjoyed an intimate dinner date at Saffy's restaurant in Los Angeles. The 36-year-old actress and the 28-year-old singer proved their affection was more than just a friendly gesture by indulging in some adorable PDA during their dinner. In fact, the pair, who first sparked romance rumors in December when they were spotted getting cozy during a night out with friends, left the restaurant holding hands.

For their evening, Dakota looked chic in a lace camisole paired with an oversized wool coat and leopard-print tote, while Role Model kept it classy in a dark gray collared sweater, black pants, and matching scarf.

Six months before her romance with the "Look At That Woman" singer started heating up, Dakota split from her ex-fiancé Chris Martin after nearly eight years together. While neither the "Fifty Shades of Grey" alum nor Coldplay frontman have publicly addressed their breakup, Dakota has provided insight into the type of partner she wants to date in the future. Simply put, she told Craig Melvin during her June 9 appearance on "Today," "Just like, not an a--hole."

As for Role Model, he was last linked to Emma Chamberlain, with whom he split in 2023 after three years together. From Role Model's perspective, wanting to return to his native Maine was a huge factor when the former couple called it quits. "That was the biggest thing—I just became the most homesick I've been in my life," he shared on the Zach Sang Show in 2024. "I was having this weird quarter-life crisis type of thing where I was just questioning everything in my life." And Role Model admitted that his desire to go back to his hometown couldn't have been easy for his ex. "I was going home a lot and creating space and leaving L.A. a lot and not really having a reason why to tell that person," he recalled. "I just wanted to go home and be with my friends and family and have some normalcy. I think that would be very confusing for the other person. Like, 'Why are you running away from me?'"
