Amid an ongoing custody battle with Halle Bailey, DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., has sought judicial sanction to visit his 18-month-old son, Halo, in Italy. Bailey, who has temporarily secured sole custody of their child, has accused the rapper of domestic violence in legal proceedings.

On June 24th, DDG and his legal representative appeared before a Los Angeles court, advocating for visitation rights during Bailey's absence in Rome to film a movie. Bailey, who holds a temporary restraining order against DDG, initially expressed opposition to the idea of DDG's mother supervising the visit, citing a pattern of condoning behavior that compromises her comfort. The judge, however, decreed that a professional monitor must oversee the encounter, deeming it a "reasonable" arrangement.

Furthermore, the court stipulated that DDG refrain from sharing any photos or videos of Halo on social media throughout the visitation period. Both parties' legal teams are now scrambling to identify a qualified professional monitor ahead of a follow-up hearing slated for June 26th.

Bailey had earlier contended that she couldn't entrust Halo to DDG's care owing to his extensive travel commitments and the protective order in effect. In her response to DDG's motion to restrict her international travel, Bailey emphasized, "I am required to be on set in Italy for a movie... It is my primary source of income, upon which Halo and I depend." She further alleged that DDG had failed to provide consistent support since Halo's birth. Legal documents also claim that Bailey endured multiple instances of abuse perpetuated by DDG, some of which purportedly transpired in the presence of their son, painting a picture of a strained and volatile relationship.
