On Monday night, the fitness world was rocked by a tragic event as California-based influencer Gloria Zamora, accompanied by her dinner companion, Hector Garduno, were brutally gunned down outside a sushi restaurant. According to police, the perpetrator was none other than Zamora's estranged husband, Thomas Alberto Tamayo Lizarraga, who met his demise soon after at the hands of an off-duty sheriff's deputy.
Zamora, a mother of seven and a social media sensation with over 150,000 devoted Instagram followers, was renowned for her inspirational content and fitness tips. She had recently opened up about her separation from Lizarraga on her podcast, HERizon. That fateful evening, she was enjoying a meal with Garduno, a doting father of four, when their lives were suddenly and brutally cut short.
Fontana Police Department officials revealed that Lizarraga had laid in wait for the couple in the restaurant's parking lot. Officer Steve Reed confirmed that the pair had been separated and were in the midst of a divorce.
An off-duty deputy from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, who happened to be driving by, bore witness to the harrowing scene. Without hesitation, the deputy made a U-turn, confronted Lizarraga, and fatally shot him. The investigation into this heinous crime is ongoing.
