"Joe casually reached out to me just a week prior, saying, 'Hey, what are your plans for next weekend, the 10th? We'd love to have you join us to perform 'This Is Me' and 'Wouldn't Change a Thing.' You've been an integral part of our journey, and we of yours. This show means the world to us, and your presence would make it even more special,'" Lovato, known for her hit "Sorry Not Sorry," recounted. "It was such a delightful and, as I mentioned, deeply healing experience for me. We've been through thick and thin together, the Jonas Brothers and I, and reconnecting with them was incredibly uplifting."

Joe, Kevin, and Nick of the Jonas Brothers, alongside Lovato, rose to fame through the 2008 Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock, and its 2010 sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, where Joe and Lovato portrayed on-screen love interests. In real life, the pair also dated in 2010.

Lovato revealed that she eagerly accepted Joe's invitation, stating, "I instantly replied, 'Let's make this happen!' My current era is all about embracing nostalgia, from the memes to the posts I've been sharing. This opportunity aligned perfectly with my thematic journey. Moreover, 'This Is Me' holds immense personal significance — it was my very first major song. Performing it with them after all these years felt like coming full circle, a truly magical moment. It was wonderful to see them again."

Beyond the stage, Lovato shared that Joe, Nick, and Kevin made a point to visit her backstage, where they spent quality time with her and her husband, adding another layer of meaning to the evening. Lovato tied the knot with singer-songwriter Jordan "Jutes" Lutes in May.

As for Lovato's ongoing endeavors, she released "Fast" on August 1st, marking the lead single from her forthcoming ninth studio album.
