Khloe Kardashian is staying vigilant amidst the myriad theories surrounding her love life. The reality TV star from "The Kardashians" recently squashed several rumors about herself, particularly the ones claiming she and her ex, Tristan Thompson—the father of their children, True, 7, and Tatum, 2—staged their high-profile breakups for publicity.
"Firstly, I have zero interest in that kind of public relations stunt," Khloe, 41, confessed in the July 16th episode of her podcast, "Khloe in Wonder Land." "We've been separated for... almost four years come December. That's a monumental commitment to fake. Even Meryl Streep couldn't pull that off; it's insane." Khloe further dismissed whispers that she and the 34-year-old NBA star are "secretly hitched."
This isn't the first occasion she's addressed marital rumors. As the founder of Good American, Khloe revealed she turned down Tristan's marriage proposal in 2022. At that time, she admitted she lacked faith in their romance due to his persistent infidelities. "I need to ensure this is an entirely different relationship, one I can proudly say I'm engaged in," she elaborated on a Hulu series that year. "That's why I declined, saying, 'I'm uncomfortable accepting this now because I'm not thrilled about announcing it to my family.'"
Indeed, Tristan's cheating scandals led to their first split in February 2019, when he was caught kissing Jordyn Woods, a close friend of Khloe's sister, Kylie Jenner, at a party. The drama reached new heights over a year later when Jordyn reflected on the infidelity on Jada Pinkett-Smith's "Red Table Talk" in March.
Despite Khloe's fiery reaction to the scandal, she rekindled her relationship with Tristan in March 2021. However, their reunion was short-lived, as they parted ways again a few months later amidst news that Tristan had fathered a son, Theo, 3, with Maralee Nicholas. (He's also a father to his 8-year-old son, Prince, with his ex, Jordan Craig.)
Although Khloe has officially closed that chapter with Tristan, she's currently uninterested in falling in love with anyone. "Dating hasn't been a priority for me. I've been single for about three years, and I absolutely love it," she told Bustle last December. "But I'm not just single and dating around. I'm genuinely single. I derive immense power and strength from this state. I'm focused on personal growth and am in such a great place that I don't want anything to disrupt it."
