Fresh details have emerged surrounding the heartbreaking passing of Sophia Hutchins, a long-standing friend and manager to Caitlyn Jenner. Exactly two weeks after Sophia met her untimely demise in an ATV accident in Southern California, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has officially confirmed in a report that she succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries, categorizing the incident as accidental.
On the fateful day of July 2nd, the 29-year-old was behind the wheel of a 2013 Polaris four-wheeler when she collided from behind with a 2016 Mazda sedan amidst the rugged mountains of Malibu, as shared by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department with the Daily Mail. Moments later, she plummeted off a precipice stretching 350 feet in height.
"It didn't appear as though she was trailing them," explained Malibu/Lost Hills Sergeant Eduardo Saucedo to the outlet, noting the presence of two unharmed females in the sedan. "It seemed like she caught up to them and hit the car." He further elaborated, "It seemed she attempted to maneuver around it, but her speed was excessive, clipping the Mazda's rear and sending her veering off the cliff."
Sophia, a Pepperdine University alumnus, has since been laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Culver City, California, as revealed in documents obtained by TMZ.
Meanwhile, Caitlyn, who recently made a rare public appearance to support her and Linda Thompson's son, Brody Jenner, on his wedding day, conveyed to the Daily Mail that she has been grappling with "arduous times" following the loss of one of her dearest friends. Their friendship, which began over a decade ago through a mutual makeup artist, blossomed into a bond characterized by shared humor and countless laughter-filled brunches, as Sophia reminisced to The New York Times in 2019. "We've been inseparable friends ever since."
Soon, their bond transcended personal boundaries, enveloping their professional lives too. "Noticing a lack of proper management around her, I realized people were taking advantage," Sophia continued. "I warned Caitlyn, 'If I don't step in and start managing you, you'll be broke.'"
From that moment onward, the reality star hailed Sophia as her "best friend, family, and confidant," extolling her virtues. "She's a genius in her field," the 75-year-old effusively praised. "Her worth in my life is incontestable. Her entrepreneurial zest knows no bounds."
