Are you ready to bid adieu to the ballet and opera chaos? Timothée Chalamet recently unveiled an intense first-look photo of Dune 3, which is officially titled Dune: Part Three. The official Instagram account of the Dune franchise followed up with several more mesmerizing first-look images on Monday.
The first photo features Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, a close-up of his eyes as he wears a Fremen stillsuit. The character appears quite different from his previous avatars in the first two films, with wrinkles around his eyes and red scarring.

In addition to Chalamet, the images also introduce Robert Pattinson (below) as the new villain Scytale, Zendaya as Chani, Jason Momoa as Hayt, Javier Bardem as Stilgar, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Florence Pugh as Irulan, Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia Atreides, and Isaach De Bankolé as Farok.
These images precede the anticipated release of the film's trailer later this week, which is expected to debut alongside Project Hail Mary. Denis Villeneuve returns as the director for the Warner Bros. title, which will hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
Villeneuve has stated that Part Three will be his final Dune film and that he doesn't consider the three films as a trilogy exactly. "It's crucial that people understand that for me, it was really a diptych," Villeneuve said in an interview with Vanity Fair. "It was really a pair of movies that will be the adaptation of the first book. That’s done and that’s finished. If I do a third one, which is in the writing process, it’s not like a trilogy. It’s strange to say that, but if I go back there, it’s to do something that feels different and has its own identity."
The film also stars Zendaya, Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Pugh, and Taylor-Joy, who reprise their roles from the second film. Momoa reprises his role from the first film, after not being in Part Two. In addition, Pattinson has joined the cast.
The previous Dune films have collectively raked in $1.1 billion at the box office worldwide.
