As Halloween week on 'Dancing with the Stars' loomed on the horizon, Dylan Efron shared a heart-stopping revelation—he'd broken his nose during a rehearsal with partner Daniella Karagach. "We were experimenting with a new move, and I took an elbow right here," he said, tapping his face in a video posted on Instagram from the hospital on October 25. "And it made a really loud crack. So, not exactly how I envisioned ending my rehearsal day, but we'll be back on our feet tomorrow."
Despite the setback, Dylan's determination to reach the Mirrorball trophy was unwavering. "I'm seriously all good," he insisted in the caption, before addressing Daniella's husband Pasha Pashkov and their partner Danielle Fisher with a burst of energy. "I'll never forget the way Dani, Pasha, and Danielle wouldn't leave my side when it happened. It warms my heart to have friends like them."
The support didn't stop there; Dylan's dance troupe was cheering him on from afar. Alix Earle commented with a crying emoji, while Val Chmerkovskiy added, "Oh em gee." Dylan responded to Emma with a reassuring smile, "All good :) already back and practicing." And there was even more encouragement from his brother Zac Efron, who was watching from the wings though he hadn't yet made an appearance in the ballroom. Dylan recently told Extra, "He's doing his thing...supporting me every day." The sentiment was mutual; for the October 14 episode of DWTS, Dylan danced to his brother's song "Rewrite the Stars" from The Greatest Showman, dedicated to their 5-year-old sister Olivia. "This is a nod to my brother," Dylan said at the time. "Zac’s always taken care of me and he did things that were so selfless. I want to be that to Olivia, I want to be the best role model I can."
