The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has unveiled a sprinkling of fresh faces to its star-studded 2025 lineup, with Ed Sheeran and the iconic rock quartet Weezer — comprising of Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Brian Bell, and Scott Shriner — adding their talents to this year's already impressive roster. Weezer will electrify the Mojave Stage during Weekend One on Saturday at 3:10 p.m., whereas Sheeran, renowned for his hit "Shape of You," will captivate audiences on the same stage at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday during Weekend Two.
Nestled in Indio, California, the highly anticipated music extravaganza returns with dates spanning April 11-13 and 25-27. At the helm of this year's festivities are Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, Green Day, and Post Malone, promising an unforgettable array of headline performances.
The inclusion of Sheeran and Weezer follows the heartbreaking announcement by FKA Twigs, who had to withdraw from her scheduled live appearance due to "persistent visa complications." On Instagram, she expressed her "devastation" over canceling not only her Coachella set but also her Axe Ceremonia gig in Mexico City, noting, "It tears at my heart to share this, as I am overjoyed to present a creation that has consumed my very essence and stands as one of my proudest achievements."
Similarly, Anitta recently revealed that unforeseen personal circumstances would prevent her from gracing the Coachella stage. Posting on X (formerly Twitter), she conveyed her "profound gratitude" to the festival for their invitation, understanding, and unwavering support.
Across both weekends, a myriad of other artistic talents await to enchant festival-goers on various stages. Among them are Missy Elliott, Benson Boone, Tyla, LISA, GloRilla, Lola Young, Charli XCX, T-Pain, Eli Brown, The Original Misfits, Rawayana, Clairo, Zedd, Megan Thee Stallion, Shaboozey, Jennie, Ty Dolla $ign, Muni Long, and beabadoobee, among a host of others.
Sheeran's Coachella appearance comes on the heels of the release of his latest single, "Azizam," the vanguard of his forthcoming eighth album, titled Play, setting the stage for an exhilarating musical journey.
