It's noteworthy that he already has two daughters, Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran, who's five, and Jupiter Seaborn Sheeran, who's three. As per the Daily Star, he began this revelation by saying, "I think maybe I want another girl. They're so much fun; it's a rollercoaster ride! With them being so close in age, they're like two peas in a pod. If you have them close together, it can be chaotic, but it's great because they play together, take baths together, and go to school together; everything is intertwined."
Regarding whether his eldest daughter is aware of his profession as a singer-songwriter, he shared, "My eldest knows I'm Ed Sheeran because she goes to school. She comes to my shows and likes my music. When she was four, older kids in school were giving her notes to give to me at home. It was a bit overwhelming. I try to normalize it."
Later in the conversation, he emphasized the lengths he goes to ensure his daughters have as normal a life as possible. For this purpose, while his daughter understands the concept of fans, "If I'm with them, I say no to pictures because once, when Lyra was with me and someone asked for a selfie, she fell over as the picture was being taken. I thought, 'I'm not being a dad here.' So now it's a blanket no. People usually understand, but sometimes people can be rude. But it's far more important that I'm being a dad to my daughter than a popstar to anyone else."
Before signing off, he also mentioned that even his daughter has caught on to this and knows that when her dad is with her, his answer will be no. "She now says no photos to people; if someone comes up, she will say it immediately," he concluded.
