Steven Spielberg has finally unveiled the true essence of his collaboration with the legendary actor, Tom Cruise. In a recent engaging conversation with Sean Fennessey, the 79-year-old director reminisced about his experience working alongside Tom, revealing that during their joint ventures in "Minority Report" and "War of the Worlds," he was outdone by the A-lister.

"Tom Cruise would arrive at the set every morning as soon as I did," Steven recalled. "I often arrive before the crew, sometimes as early as 6:30 in the morning. On 'Minority Report' and 'War of the Worlds,' Tom insisted on being there when I arrived so we could plan out the entire day...which was incredibly beneficial for me," he added.
Recently, in a heartfelt interview with People magazine, Tom also spoke about his dedication to honing his skills for his roles. "I'll learn a skill, and I know eventually I'll use it in a movie," he said, adding that he is "constantly training" in various skills, "whether it's playing the piano or having more time to dance. Or parachuting, flying airplanes, or helicopters. The beauty of it is that you're never truly there. It can always be better."
It's worth noting that Steven directed Tom in the 2002's "Minority Report" and the 2005's "War of the Worlds."
