Elliot Page seems to be offering a heartfelt personal update during this Pride Month. On Saturday, the actor posted an endearing selfie alongside actress Julia Shiplett from the film "Overcompensating" on Instagram. In the snapshot, Page radiates a broad grin as he leans his head comfortably on Shiplett's shoulder, both standing on a road adorned with vibrant rainbow hues. The caption, adorned with a rainbow emoji and a double-heart emoji, sparked whispers of a burgeoning romance, subtly hinting at a new chapter in their relationship.
ABC News reached out to representatives for both Page and Shiplett for comment, but as of yet, there has been no immediate response. Page, who bravely came out as transgender in December 2020, has always been open about his past romantic endeavors. In his candid memoir, "Pageboy," he reflected on his previous relationships with co-stars and friends, including Kate Mara and Olivia Thirlby.
Prior to this, Page was married to Emma Portner from 2018 to 2021. In a joint statement shared with ABC News in January 2021, the former couple announced their separation with dignity and respect. "After much contemplation and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce following our separation last summer," the statement read at the time. "We hold the utmost respect for each other and continue to remain close friends."
Since his transition, Page has embraced a refreshed outlook on life. During ABC's "The Freedom to Exist – A Soul of a Nation Presentation" in 2023, he poured his heart out, saying, "I feel that joy every single day. I truly do." He further elaborated that living authentically as his true self has revolutionized his life. "It has allowed me to feel truly alive for the first time," he shared with poignant sincerity.
