During the holiday season, Emma Roberts and her son, Rhodes, 5, were immersed in a true winter wonderland. The 34-year-old actress shared a snowy selfie with her little boy on December 24th, grinning broadly as she displayed her red hair peeking out from beneath her floral beanie. Rhodes, adorably grinning in front of her, wore a green beanie to match his green coat, creating a cozy and festive look. Emma captioned the photo with a simple yet festive "merry merry!"

This photo marked a special moment just before Rhodes' 5th birthday. Emma, now engaged to Cody John, welcomed Rhodes into the world on December 27th, 2020, with her then-boyfriend Garrett Hedlund. Over the past five years, motherhood has had a profound impact on Emma's life, both personally and professionally.

"Motherhood has given me so much depth in my emotions and understanding," Emma told Harper's Bazaar Spain earlier this month. "Seeing everything through his eyes is beautiful and transforms your perspective on the world." She also noted that it's a never-ending journey. "I feel like I'm still discovering who I am, as a person and as a mother," she added. "I try to do my best, although I don't always succeed, but I try."

Having a son has not only affected how Emma sees her work but also how she perceives every other aspect of life. "I feel like everything I could say about it sounds cliché but it’s all true," Emma told Forbes in 2021. "You can’t imagine how differently you see the world until you have a kid. It's true that before you have a kid, you're just responsible for yourself and try to make good choices for yourself, but when you're really responsible for someone else, I just take that job much more seriously now."

After welcoming her son, Emma has also developed a deeper respect for other mothers, including her own. "I worship the ground my mom walks on even more," she said of Kelly Cunningham. "After I had my son, I was so emotional towards her, thanking her for everything she did." She added, "It’s a full-time job, so I hope that all moms feel confident and good with what they’re doing because I know it’s really hard to always feel like you’re doing it right.”
