Emma Stone is poised to embark on yet another exhilarating journey with director Yorgos Lanthimos, as glimpses from the preliminary footage of their forthcoming film, Bugonia, begin to tease audiences. The Oscar-winning actress, celebrated for her role in the 2023 comedy-fantasy Poor Things, which secured her an Academy Award, reunites with the acclaimed Greek filmmaker for their fourth collaborative venture.

On June 26th, Thursday, Focus Features unveiled the enticing teaser for this upcoming sci-fi comedy, starring the 36-year-old Stone alongside an ensemble cast that includes Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone.

The official synopsis unravels an intriguing tale: "Two young men, consumed by conspiracy theories, abduct the influential CEO of a prominent corporation, fully convinced that she is an extraterrestrial being with sinister plans to annihilate planet Earth."

In the teaser, Plemons' character, Teddy Gatz, dons a beekeeper's suit amidst swirling bees, narrating, "It all begins with a marvel of nature: a blossom, then a diligent honeybee. Workers diligently collect pollen for their queen…."

Most recently seen in Eddington, which premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in May 2025 before heading to theaters, Stone shines once again in this production. Co-produced by Stone and Lanthimos, Bugonia is set to captivate audiences nationwide on October 31, 2025.
