Devyn LaBella, the stuntwoman suing Kevin Costner, makes new claims

Kevin Costner finds himself increasingly entangled in a stormy controversy surrounding an alleged "unscripted" rape scene. In May, a stuntwoman from the film 'Horizon' filed a lawsuit against the 'Yellowstone' veteran, asserting that she was subjected to an unforeseen and unauthorized rape sequence on the set of 'Horizon: An American Saga: Chapter 2,' devoid of prior notice, consent, or adherence to standard protocols.

The 70-year-old actor has categorically refuted all accusations, clarifying that the shot in question contained nothing "sexual." Nevertheless, LaBella has resurfaced, reinforcing her claims against the 'Dances With Wolves' star with fresh evidence.

According to LaBella's account, she was compelled to participate in a "violent, unscripted, and unplanned rape scene" in May 2023. In her June 25th statement to 'Us Weekly,' the Hollywood stunt performer described her ordeal as "a reckless infringement—a breach of consent and fundamental workplace safety."

"I was instructed to lie down, and with no forewarning or rehearsal, another actor was ushered in to simulate a rape upon me," she elaborated. "My undergarments were exposed, and I was subsequently left alone, overwhelmed, and stunned. Submission under duress is not consent. Consent cannot retroactively validate harm."

LaBella continued, "Once the boundary is crossed, there is no genuine choice left. I voiced my protest immediately. Yet, my courage was met with silence, diversions, and attempts to undermine my credibility. This case transcends my personal experience. It shines a spotlight on a flawed system that shields those in power while penalizing those who dare to speak out. It is a call for change, not merely for myself but for all who deserve to work with safety and dignity."

"What transpired on that set was unjust. Let it be crystal clear: I stood my ground. I articulated the truth. And I will never retract my demand for the bare essentials—to be treated with humanity at work," LaBella concluded her powerful statement.

Costner's attorney, Marty Singer, adhered to his previous stance regarding the new evidence, stating, "We anticipate the prompt conclusion of this frivolous litigation."
