Venturing into the uncharted wilderness of America's storied national parks, Eric Bana embarks on a thrilling journey in the upcoming miniseries, Untamed. Conceived by the dynamic duo of Mark L. Smith (American Primeval, The Revenant) and Elle Smith (The Marsh King's Daughter), this character-driven mystery thriller revolves around Kyle Turner, a National Parks Service special agent who safeguards human law in the vast, untamed landscapes of nature.

An investigation into a gruesome murder propels Turner into a harrowing collision with the sinister secrets lurking within the park—and within his own past. The ensemble cast includes Sam Neill (Jurassic Park, Apples Never Fall) portraying Paul Souter, a seasoned chief park ranger in Yosemite who has dedicated half his life to the service. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and close friend to Turner, Souter navigates both the criminal underbelly and bureaucratic entanglements of his job with ease.

Rosemarie DeWitt (La La Land, The Staircase) joins as Jill Bodwin, Turner's ex-wife and a former teacher and park counselor who remarried shortly after their divorce. Despite the rupture in their marriage, Jill and Turner maintain a profound bond, tethered by the threads of their shared past.

Lily Santiago (La Brea, Mary Jane) portrays Naya Vasquez, a youthful and ambitious former Los Angeles cop who joins Yosemite's ranger squad as a fresh recruit. With her four-year-old son, Gael, in tow, Vasquez seeks a new life in the park. Though unfamiliar with the rugged terrain of Yosemite, her unwavering will, sharp investigative instincts, and urban homicide techniques become invaluable in solving a murder that is all too human.

Rounding out the cast is Wilson Bethel (Daredevil, All Rise) as Shane Maguire, a former army ranger who now employs his skills as the park's wildlife management officer. A man of solitude, Maguire prefers the solitude of the wilderness where he can abide by his own rules.

As an executive producer of this six-episode drama, Bana joins Smith and Smith, who also serve as executive producers and writers. The series is further bolstered by the executive production prowess of John Wells for John Wells Productions (Maid, Shameless), Escape Artists Entertainment (The Equalizer 3, Being the Ricardos), Steve Lee Jones for Bee Holder Productions (Chief of Station, You Don't Know Jack), and Cliff Roberts (The Midnight Sky, Emancipation). A co-production with Warner Bros. Television Studios (YOU, Sweet Tooth), Untamed promises to be a captivating tale of survival, intrigue, and the unyielding spirit of the wild.
