Mangione stands accused of fatally shooting Thompson outside the New York Hilton Midtown Hotel on December 4th, Wednesday. Following an extensive five-day hunt, Mangione was apprehended in Pennsylvania while dining at a McDonald's in Altoona on December 9th, Monday. According to CNN, Mangione faces murder charges alongside four additional counts, including forgery and illegal firearm possession.

Sosa's fans swiftly grasped the humorous essence of his post. One fan amusingly wrote, "Honestly surprised Ryan Murphy hasn't called you for the biopic yet. You were the first person I thought of, LMAO!" Another commented, "Ezra, you should definitely enter the look-alike contest!"

The shooting incident has stirred up controversy among numerous high-profile figures, not just Sosa. Social media influencer Caroline Calloway also claimed a personal connection to Mangione on Monday. "OMG GUYS, I Literally Had Sex With The United Healthcare CEO Assassin!" the 33-year-old exclaimed via X. In a subsequent tweet, she clarified, "Ok, technically, he wasn't an assassin when we had sex... That I know of. But still!!!"

TikTok is no stranger to controversy-stirring posts from Sosa. With over 502,000 followers on the platform, he recently used it to voice his opinions on debated "DWTS" rules. Responding to a TikTok post from a user questioning the fairness of Derek Hough and Shawn Johnson East's Season 15 deduction for breaking hold during a quickstep, Sosa wrote on November 17th, "The rules have become increasingly lax each year! Back then, it wasn't acceptable, but now it is."

In Season 33 of the beloved reality TV series, Sosa danced alongside Anna Delvey, leading the duo to a 12th-place finish as the show's newest professional dancer.
