Robbie Pardlo, the former frontman of the renowned R&B ensemble City High, has passed away at the age of 46, leaving behind a legacy of musical brilliance. According to TMZ, Pardlo's life came to a close on Thursday, amid the comforting presence of his cherished friends and family in Willingboro, New Jersey. The exact circumstances surrounding his demise remain undisclosed.
Pardlo shot to fame with City High, a band he co-founded in 1999 alongside his classmates Claudette Ortiz and Ryan Toby. The trio inked a deal with Wyclef Jean's label, Booga Basement, and unveiled their self-titled debut album, which showcased the chart-topping hits "What Would You Do?" and "Caramel," featuring Eve, in 2001. Their meteoric rise culminated in a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group in 2002; however, the group disbanded three years later in 2003.
Subsequently, Pardlo found a new home as a member of the R&B quartet First Take. Sadly, Pardlo battled with alcoholism, an issue he attributed to the dissolution of City High.
He is deeply mourned by his beloved wife, Anika, and their two children, who will forever cherish his memory.
