During a Tuesday interview with renowned playwright and director David Mamet, Fox News host Jesse Watters recounted an encounter several years prior where Hollywood star Shia LaBeouf allegedly let loose with a vulgar insult in an airport Delta lounge. Watters, sharing the anecdote in the context of discussing LaBeouf's role in Mamet's new film "Henry Johnson," revealed, "A couple of years back, at an airport lounge, Shia LaBeouf told me to go f*** myself." With a hint of humor, Watters added, "Say hi to him for me, will you?"
Previously, on Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle," Watters had mentioned that LaBeouf had labeled him "trash, right in front of my kids," according to the Daily Mail.
Since that airport altercation, much has changed for the 39-year-old "Transformers" actor. He has undergone a spiritual transformation, embracing Catholicism, and welcomed a daughter, Isabel, with his wife and fellow actor Mia Goth. Recently, LaBeouf celebrated the dismissal of an abuse lawsuit filed against him by his ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs.
The "Two Weeks" singer, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, had accused LaBeouf of sexual battery, assault, and emotional distress stemming from their one-year relationship. She chose to drop the case on July 18, mere months before the scheduled September trial, as reported by Page Six. In a joint statement, both parties wished each other "personal happiness, professional success, and peace in the future," while keeping the settlement details confidential.
The pair had met on the set of the 2019 film "Honey Boy," which LaBeouf both wrote and starred in. Last year, the "Disturbia" actor formally converted to Catholicism in a solemn ceremony led by dedicated Capuchin Franciscan friars.
Representatives for LaBeouf have been contacted by The Post for comment on these developments.
