Gabriel Basso, the leading man in Netflix's smash hit series "The Night Agent," has gracefully joined the ensemble of Amazon MGM's heartfelt romantic drama, "Love of Your Life." Already gracing the call sheet are Margaret Qualley, Aaron Pierre, and Patrick Schwarzenegger, set to star in this emotional powerhouse narrative that unfolds the tale of a recently single young woman (Qualley) embarking on a transformative journey to redefine her life's path.
Penned by Julia Cox, the screenplay shrouds the characters' details, including Basso's enigmatic role, in a veil of secrecy. At the helm is Rachel Morrison, renowned for her cinematography in "Black Panther" and now making her directorial debut. The film is being produced by Ryan Gosling and his partner Jessie Henderson under their Open Invite Entertainment banner, formerly known as General Admission.
Production is currently in full swing. Basso's journey from a child actor to a seasoned adult thespian has been nothing short of remarkable, with notable appearances in coming-of-age films such as "Super 8" and "The Kings of Summer." He later garnered acclaim for his portrayal of J.D. Vance in Ron Howard's "Hillbilly Elegy" and a pivotal role in the horror flick "The Strangers."
This autumn, Basso reprises his character in "The Strangers: Chapter 2," set to haunt theaters on September 26. Additionally, he is part of the star-studded cast of Kathryn Bigelow's highly anticipated political thriller "A House of Dynamite," slated to premiere at the Venice Film Festival before its theatrical release and Netflix debut on October 24.
Created by Shawn Ryan, "The Night Agent" is a thriller series that bowed as Netflix's third most-watched series premiere and currently holds the sixth spot among the platform's all-time most-watched series. The second season premiered in January, with a third season already in development.
Represented by WME, Range Media Partners, Untitled Entertainment, and Yorn Levine, Basso continues to soar in his acting career, captivating audiences with each new role he tackles.
