The Jane the Virgin alum revealed that she and her husband of six years are expecting their second child, debuting her baby bump on the July 11 red carpet for Netflix's Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3 fight at Madison Square Garden. For the occasion, the 40-year-old donned a black floral gown that perfectly showcased her growing bump. After posing for a few solo shots, Joe—who married the actress in May 2019—embraced his wife and placed one hand on her stomach, wearing a radiant smile.
The couple's big announcement comes just over two years after they welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Charlie. Although the two—who met back in 2016 when Joe hilariously portrayed a stropper during season two of Jane's CW series—prefer to keep their relationship and their family out of the spotlight, the actress can't help but share an occasional glimpse into her life as a mom. "I wanna post everything about him, but I limit it," Gina admitted to People in January. "I know at some point I'm gonna have to stop because it's his life, but I'm just so in love."
"His communication is unbelievable," she continued of the toddler. "And I'm so grateful for it because he communicates what he wants, what he needs, his boundaries—he's teaching me boundaries!"
Even when they announced their engagement back in 2018, the Miss Bala star opted to keep the details of their romantic moment close to her chest. "That I'm gonna keep to myself, that I don't think I'm gonna ever share that," she told E! News of how Joe popped the question in 2018. "Because there's only so many things that you get to own when you become a public figure. It's the blessing and the curse of it, you know? The blessing is that you get to do what you love every day and you have so many incredible people supporting you. But then the little curse is that nothing's a secret anymore; you don't get to hold anything to yourself. So I'm gonna hold that one for as long as I can."
