Hailey Bieber is clarifying the record with a resounding statement. Her publicist has firmly refuted rumors suggesting that her spouse, Justin Bieber, delayed the settlement of his $31.5 million financial dispute with former manager Scooter Braun until after Hailey's monumental $1 billion deal with Rhode Skin was sealed, supposedly so she could cover the costs.
"Hailey's historic sale of Rhode marks a towering achievement," her rep conveyed in a July 17 statement to Daily Mail, "and it stands independently of her husband and his business endeavors."
Prior to this clarification from Rhode Skin's founder, whispers had circulated that Justin, who shares an 11-month-old son, Jack Blues Bieber, with Hailey, lacked the funds to repay Scooter the $31.5 million they allegedly agreed upon, compensating for unpaid commissions and an advance that became due when he axed his 2022 Justice tour. Although Justin has yet to publicly comment on his financial arrangement with Scooter, he promptly demonstrated his unwavering support for Hailey after she sold her Rhode Skin brand to e.l.f. Beauty in a billion-dollar deal in May.
Following the announcement, the "Sorry" crooner took to Instagram to highlight this milestone, posting a snapshot of his wife of six years alongside a screenshot of the May 28 press release, adorned with a heart emoji. This level of encouragement is nothing new for Justin. Earlier this year, Hailey, who will retain her roles as Chief Creative Officer, Head of Innovation at Rhode, and serve as a strategic advisor for e.l.f. post-acquisition, acknowledged her husband's steadfast support since she founded her brand in 2022.
As she accepted the Beauty Innovator of the Year Award at Daily Front Row’s 9th Annual Fashion Awards in April, Hailey expressed, "I want to thank my husband for backing my dream from its inception and for always being my loudest cheerleader."
Indeed, Justin's support transcends Hailey's business endeavors. The 28-year-old has also attributed invaluable insights from Justin on managing the intense public scrutiny that comes with fame. "I've gained so much wisdom from Justin," she shared with Vogue in a May 20 interview. "He's been in the limelight since childhood and has faced more scrutiny than anyone I know."
