In a heartfelt interview with The Cut, ahead of the release of her upcoming crime thriller film "Crime 101," Berry shared her thoughts on the impact of her Oscar win. She reminisced, "I thought there would be a script truck outside my front door, but that wasn't the case. While I was incredibly proud of my accomplishment, I woke up the next morning, still a Black woman."

The "Catwoman" star, who shared the screen with Billy Bob Thornton in Lee Daniels' "Monster's Ball," revealed that she once offered advice to three-time Academy Award nominee Cynthia Erivo: "You absolutely deserve it, but I'm not sure it will change your life. It can't be the sole validation for your work."

It's worth noting that "Crime 101," which stars Berry alongside Chris Hemsworth, Barry Keoghan, and Monica Barbaro, will be released on February 13, 2026.
