Heidi Klum Promises She'll Be 'Ugly' in Her 2025 Halloween Costume After Last Year's 'Very Cute' E.T. Look

Published: Oct 30 2025

Heidi Klum has set her sights on an extraordinary Halloween costume for 2025, with the annual festivities just around the corner. As she preps for her extravagant soiree, Klum teased to PEOPLE that her costume is coming together with finesse, but "nice" hardly does it justice when it comes to this year's vision. Though she remains coy about the exact details of her inevitable over-the-top creation, she divulged a few tantalizing tidbits about her attire. "I'm going to be very ugly because I always aim for something different," she teases. "Last year, I thought I was very cute with my husband as E.T. And the year before, we were the majestic peacock with a cast of performers. After the effortless worm in 2022, I craved something intricate. And with 15 performers contributing to the costume, weaving their bodies into one unified creation, I thought that was a unique twist again. So I hope I've conjured up something fresh and new."

Year after year, Klum delivers on Halloween, not only orchestrating an unparalleled bash for her illustrious friends but also donning a costume that's as over-the-top as her parties. Last year, at 52, she and her husband Tom Kaulitz, 36, transformed into E.T. from the 1982 film. On the red carpet, Klum revealed that she chose the character because E.T. has been "a fixture in most of our lives" and she's always been "a big fan." "I thought about the universe in a different light and how E.T.'s wiggling around and all the moments when he was dressed up with a wig were so adorable," she said of their costumes, adding that they started getting ready at 11 a.m. on the day of the party.

The year prior, Klum enlisted 15 performers to help flesh out her peacock costume. She, dressed in a sea of blue, portrayed the body of the bird while her acrobatic performers formed the feathers. "I wanted to create a costume with many, many people," she shared with PEOPLE at her party that year. "I wanted a group of people who would become one thing in my mind, and that thing was the peacock."

Klum's 2022 worm costume marked her return to the Halloween scene after a two-year hiatus from hosting her party. Kaulitz joined her as a fisherman to complete their ensemble. Earlier in the day, while getting ready, Klum went live on Amazon, leaving fans eagerly speculating about the final costume design. She also shared during her live stream that one of her favorite aspects of hosting her party is trying to guess who lies beneath each of the costumes worn by those in attendance.
