Karol G is etching her name into Coachella's storied history. The 34-year-old Colombian music sensation is set to become the first Latina ever to headline the iconic festival, following in the footsteps of Bad Bunny, who made history as the first Latino headliner in 2023. This groundbreaking achievement is just the latest in a string of record-breaking feats for Karol G, including her distinction as the first Latina to headline a global stadium tour and the fact that her album "Mañana Será Bonito" soared to the top of the Billboard 200 as the first Spanish-language album by a female Latin artist to achieve such a feat.

The Grammy-winning artist celebrated this historic moment by sharing a snapshot of the festival lineup on her Instagram account on September 15, exclaiming, "Coachella 2026, LA BICHOTA ES HEADLINER!" and adding, "#TROPICOACHELLA MODE ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The singer, whose real name is Carolina Giraldo Navarro, will return to the desert stage for the Sunday performances on April 12 and April 19, marking her ascent to headliner status after previously gracing the festival as a supporting act in 2022. Yet, she's no stranger to commanding the spotlight at major festivals, having already taken on the headlining role at Lollapalooza in 2023.

Joining Karol G in this year's lineup will be Sabrina Carpenter and Justin Bieber, who will headline the Friday and Saturday nights, respectively. While the "Manchild" singer has already performed at the 2024 festival, this will mark Justin's first solo performance, having previously only made guest appearances. The three-weekend extravaganza will also feature an array of other acts, including Ethel Cain, Disclosure, Foster the People, PinkPantheress, Teddy Swims, KATSEYE, The Strokes, Addison Rae, David Byrne, Young Thug, Sexyy Red, and Laufey.

For Karol G, this milestone represents the next thrilling chapter in her illustrious career as she continues to strive for new heights. "I've always been incredibly dedicated to my career and my music; I'm deeply passionate," she shared with USA Today in May, adding that the success of her "Mañana Será Bonito" album and tour only fueled her desire to achieve even greater things. "After everything that happened, I had to pause and reflect on what comes next because I recognized this as the greatest opportunity of my life," she mused.

Karol, who released her "Tropicoqueta" album in 2025, went on to say, "Right now, I have this incredible chance to honor myself and elevate to the highest level—to step out and show the world that I'm ready for this position."
