Katy Perry finds herself utterly charmed by Taylor Swift's latest album. A full decade after their infamous feud first erupted, the "Roar" songstress has shown her unwavering support for the release of the "Cruel Summer" singer's *The Life of a Showgirl*. On October 10, Katy took to her Instagram Stories, sharing a screenshot of herself immersed in one of the album's tracks, "Eldest Daughter." Indeed, since the two buried the hatchet on their years-long rivalry—reportedly sparked in 2014 by a disagreement over backup dancers—the "Firework" vocalist has been there to celebrate several of Taylor's major career milestones. Their reconciliation began when Katy sent Taylor a literal olive branch at the start of her 2018 *Reputation* tour.
In fact, in 2024, the former *American Idol* judge had the chance to "shake it off" in style, joining the VIP tent at the "Fate of Ophelia" singer's *Eras Tour* stop in Australia. "I had one day off before the show," Katy reminisced in a TikTok video posted by Capital on January 17, "and I thought, 'Hey, girl, I’m coming to your show.' She was thrilled, and so was I."
It’s safe to say the 40-year-old was completely swept away by the three-hour extravaganza. "I loved it," Katy gushed, highlighting how the infectious energy of the crowd elevated the entire experience. "It felt like a community—a truly adorable, sweet community. I got to see her and we caught up. I just love her so much."
As for Taylor—who had invited Katy to share a heartfelt embrace onscreen in her 2019 music video for "You Need to Calm Down"—she echoes the sentiment, expressing equal joy that the bad blood is now a thing of the past. Previously, she confessed that "something felt so much lighter" in her life after mending their relationship. "She and I have been on good terms for a while now, but we weren’t sure if we’d ever go public with it," the 35-year-old shared with the UK’s *Capital Breakfast* in 2019. "We wanted to make sure our bond was solid before letting the world in on it."
