Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have officially acknowledged their romance, putting an end to over a year of speculative whispers that had been swirling around them. On Monday evening, January 6, the 56-year-old star of "Deadpool & Wolverine" and the 49-year-old Tony Award-winning Broadway actress, Sutton Foster, were caught holding hands on a romantic stroll to dinner in Santa Monica, California.
Their cozy dinner date took place just two days after Jackman was spotted in the audience at Foster's performance of "Once Upon a Mattress" in Los Angeles on Saturday night. People magazine has released exclusive photographs capturing the new couple, exuding happiness and joy together. Jackman was dressed elegantly in a dark jacket, paired with a gray shirt and crisp white jeans, while Foster complemented his attire with a stylish brown coat draped over an olive-hued dress.
Unknown to many, Jackman and Foster had previously collaborated on the Broadway musical "The Music Man." The production, initially scheduled to premiere in 2020, faced delays due to the pandemic and finally commenced performances in December 2021, culminating in a highly successful run that ended in January 2023.
In September 2023, Jackman announced his separation from his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, and just a few months later, rumors began to surface about his potential relationship with Foster. At that time, Foster seemingly refuted these rumors by sharing a family photo. However, in October 2024, Foster filed for divorce from her husband, Ted Griffin, after a decade of marriage.
Shortly after Foster's divorce filing, one of Deborra-Lee's friends came forward to assert that the rumors of an affair between Jackman and Foster were "on the money."
