Allegedly, Khaby Lame, one of the most followed personalities on TikTok globally, received an order to vacate the United States. Immigration officials, communicating with NBC News, disclosed that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) instructed the influencer to leave due to "overstaying the terms of his visa."
Seringe Khabane Lame, the Italian-Senegalese creator better known as Khaby Lame, entered U.S. soil on April 30. However, his stay was cut short when he was detained at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on June 6 and subsequently granted "voluntary departure," according to an ICE spokesperson.
Just days after his arrival, Lame, renowned for his silent, stone-faced parody videos lampooning fellow influencers, graced the red carpet at the prestigious 2025 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
While Lame remained silent in response to NBC News' request for commentary, Sharks Celebrities Mgmt., the agency representing the 25-year-old, issued a statement denouncing the ICE report as "fake news," insisting that Lame hadn't visited the USA that month at all.
Meanwhile, Bo Loudon, another prominent social media figure known for his vocal support of President Donald Trump's administration, has taken credit for Lame's alleged detention and departure. "He had collaborated with some of my friends," Loudon boasted in a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) on June 9. "They informed me that his visa was revoked three years ago." He further claimed, "I just reached out to some contacts in the administration, and I've never witnessed anything moving so swiftly."
Despite the reported date of Lame's departure from the U.S., the influencer, who also holds the title of goodwill ambassador for the humanitarian organization UNICEF, has remained active on his social media platforms. On June 10, he shared a clip from the stands of a Brazilian national soccer team match in São Paulo on his Instagram Story.
