Ice Spice Speaks Out After Violent Attack at California McDonald’s

Ice Spice is confronting a terrifying ordeal. Two days after the "Did It First" rapper was assaulted while dining at a Hollywood McDonald's, as captured in footage obtained by TMZ, she has finally spoken out about the violent incident. Lightening the mood of the April 15 brawl, Ice penned a statement on X April 17 alongside a snippet of the video, joking, "This wouldn't happen at a Wendy's."

In the surveillance video, Ice (born Isis Naija Gaston) is seen seated in a booth with a friend inside the fast-food chain when a woman, identified as Vayah by TMZ, approaches their table, seemingly eager to join them. After Ice points to the restaurant's door, Vayah leans in and engages in an argument over whether the New York-native is from California. Vayah then slaps the "Boy's a liar Pt. 2" rapper—sporting a blue sweatsuit—in the face before a man drags her away.

Ice then rises from her seat and follows the woman outside the restaurant, where the fight continues. There, the 26-year-old argues with the man who separated her from her attacker, who suggests he also wants to fight Ice. "Let me fight her," Ice says in the clip. "On your mama, let me fight her." She adds, "Let me fight a b---h. Why would you want to fight me? Are you a b---h? You want to fight a b---h?"

The video then shows Ice engaging in a street brawl with her attacker, where they exchange punches until Ice falls on her back. E! News has reached out to Ice's representative and her attorney, as well as the Los Angeles Police Department, for comment but has not yet received a response.

Following the release of the video, Ice's attorney, Bradford Cohen, emphasized that legal action would be taken against the perpetrators. "The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all criminal and civil avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions," Bradford told Billboard in an April 17 statement. "We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their apparent lack of appropriate security."

He continued, "Not to mention that the individuals involved obviously did not realize that we would obtain the video from inside McDonald's where the unprovoked attack occurred. They then turned their cameras on after the initial attack as if to set our client up and, as they say on the video, to 'go viral.'" He added, "The only thing that will be going viral for them is their mugshots."
